As a contemporary Cherokee artist I focus on sculptural work in various media including ceramic/clay, sculpted and cast bronze and embroidered or woven beads. My sculptural work uses photo studies of subjects to create realistic features while capturing an emotional essence through subtle gestures and expression. I sometimes use stylized angular forms to mount or elevate a subject on. I have a monumental public sculpture installation on the Cultural Pathway in Tahlequah, OK; the capital city of the Cherokee Nation and am represented at the fine art Spider Gallery there. Current public art installations include two sculptures in Olympia, WA and one in Lake Oswego, OR. My sculptural beadwork recently won a blue ribbon at the Santa Fe Indian Market Summer.
